What is Youth Academy?
Youth Academy offers sports classes that are similar to our popular Summer Camps throughout the school year.
These classes are designed to keep your kids active in the sports they love. They also provide ongoing instruction at an affordable price.
Youth Academy improves children’s athletic abilities, overall fitness levels and self-confidence. Not to mention, your kids will LOVE it. If they enjoyed Summer Camp, just think how much fun they’ll have in Youth Academy during the rest of the year!
When are the classes?
Each class is offered once a week and is designed for elementary-age children of all skill levels. The new Youth Academy schedule matches up nicely with the Davis School District schedule, meaning we won’t hold classes during major school holidays.
Youth Academy Session II begins on Tuesday, November 8.

What if my child is just starting to play?
That’s OK if your son or daughter hasn’t had any experience in sports yet. The SportsPlex hires knowledgeable coaches who can assess your children’s current skill levels and help them improve at their own pace.
How much does it cost?
Youth Academy is just $30 per month for SportsPlex members or $40 per month for nonmembers. The classes are grouped into four sessions that each include eight weeks of instruction. For example, Session II runs from Nov. 8 to Jan. 19 — classes are not held during weeks surrounding major holidays.
There is a one-time enrollment fee of $20.* If you already paid the enrollment fee when you registered for Session I, you don’t need to pay any enrollment fee to register for Session II. You can pay the enrollment fee online to secure your child’s spot in the program.
Who is Youth Academy for?
Youth Academy is for kids who enjoy playing sports with other kids. It is also for children who want to improve their athletic skills for competitive play.
It’s for parents who want their kids to develop healthy habits and self-confidence early in their lives.
It’s for families who value year-round fitness. The SportsPlex offers all of our classes, including soccer and baseball, indoors during the cold, stormy Utah winters. This is a huge advantage over other youth sports programs that don’t have indoor facilities or space like we do.

*$20 enrollment fee applies once a year and includes a training shirt specific to the sport taught in each program. If a child changes programs during the same Youth Academy Year, no new enrollment fee will be assessed — unless the child wants a new shirt to match the new program. The enrollment fee will be assessed for each new shirt a child receives.
