Kaysville SportsPlex Zumba instructor Diosa DeAgostine invites you to join her at the Party in Pink Charity Zumbathon.

75 percent of the Party in Pink Zumbathon ticket fee benefits Susan G. Komen for the Cure and its global nonprofit partners to fund breast cancer research, education, screening and treatment programs.

Boys Basketball Fall Leagues

Kaysville Cagers Basketball Team

The Kaysville Cagers won the fourth-grade division in the Spring Basketball League.

Basketball leagues for boys who live in Layton, Kaysville and surrounding areas will start at the end of September at the SportsPlex.

The regular season lasts seven weeks and is followed by a tournament. Players on the winning team will receive T-shirts.

These leagues are designed for boys in 5th through 9th grades. Playing up is allowed and encouraged.

Fall Basketball Schedule

(Games between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.)

  • Grade 7: Tuesdays — Starts September 27
  • Grade 9: Wednesdays — Starts September 28
  • Grade 5: Thursdays — Starts September 29

Cost: $450 per team

Registration ends September 15.

Alberto Perea considers himself lucky. He gets to spend his time playing college baseball and teaching the sport to Davis County kids.

He’s the perfect fit as a coach for the Kaysville SportsPlex Summer Camps.

“I see so much potential in each young kid that I coach,” Alberto says. “Not only potential for baseball, but potential in life. For me to be able to have even the slightest influence in these young kids’ lives is truly a blessing. Lewis Lofton, CEO of the Utah Sports Academy, enjoyed an award-winning college career at Weber State University. He went on to play 12 years of international basketball in Europe, Asia and South America.

The Kaysville SportsPlex has arranged for Lewis to teach your children skills that will prepare them to play on junior high and high school teams. This two-day youth basketball clinic is designed for Davis County kids who are 12 to 16 years old. [Read more...]
